Join us for a fun, hands-on Seed Ballin’ Workshop as part of our Weekend of Meadow Madness! Together, we’ll learn how to create seed bombs – small balls made of clay, soil, and seeds that can be tossed anywhere to grow beautiful wildflowers.
But this event isn’t just about flowers – it’s about regenerating our land. When Super District 6 Commissioner Ted Terry took office in 2021, he envisioned a more sustainable DeKalb County. Every year, thousands of dollars are spent mowing and blowing public landscapes, often harming soil health and burning fossil fuels in the process. That’s why, in 2023, Commissioner Terry championed the creation of a Wildflower and Beautification Fund to rethink how we manage our public spaces.
In 2024, this vision came to life with over 100,000 square feet of wildflower meadows blooming across DeKalb County, showcasing innovative and regenerative ways to maintain green spaces. These meadows promote soil health, support pollinators, and decrease fossil…
