We get a lot of questions about what a Grower is, so I figured I'd clear things up just a little bit.
Essentially, we consider a Grower to be anyone who is doing the work to build a better, greener, and more equitable world. While we're focusing mostly on food growing, ecology, and food systems, there are all sorts of other amazing people doing good work in the housing justice, climate action, and anti-racist and indigenous movements, all of which ties into the work we're doing.
So, we've boiled it down to three ways someone can be a Grower:
Food Grower. This is for those who want to grow edible plants and learn about regenerative agriculture.
Earth Grower. If growing plants isn't really your thing, then you can get plugged in on the ecology side, helping renew soil, clean up rivers and lakes, or even just sharing tips on your social media.
People Grower. And lastly, if you're more of a people person, then you can help build community resources so that the food, tools, and knowledge is spread as far as possible.
So, which of these do you think best suits you? When you think you know, leave a comment below and tell us all about it. And then subscribe to your channel:
We need SO many more growers in the world! Lets lead the next generation into a direction where our planet is full of green jobs, abundant food systems and a planet that supports life for many generations to come!
